As a crypto platform, part of our job is to understand what other providers are building. My team and I review public documentation, pricing, product flows, and the evidence we can verify. We give credit where it is due, and we state the limits we find. This comparison describes what we found during our review of Busha, what it does well, where it may not fit, and who should consider it.
Note that we did create an account to test Busha's response times, payout speed, support, uptime, and product behaviour.
Head-to-head comparison
Busha is a licensed exchange built for people who want to hold and grow crypto positions. Breet is an automated off-ramp built for people who want crypto turned into spendable local currency with no manual steps, across both Nigeria and Ghana, with invoicing for anyone who gets paid in crypto. Both cover buy, sell, and swap.

Where Busha wins
Regulatory standing. Busha holds a provisional SEC licence granted 29 August 2024 under the Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Programme. Breet's Nigerian entity has an application pending to the same programme.
Products Breet does not have. Crypto-backed loans, savings with yield advertised up to 18%, limit orders, and recurring buys. If you want to borrow against your holdings or earn on idle balances, Breet cannot do that and Busha can.
A lower entry point. ₦250 against Breet's $5.
Where Busha falls short
The gaps are about disclosure and friction rather than capability. A Level 1 account can deposit without limit but cannot withdraw at all. KYC requires a handwritten note held up in a selfie. Bill payments are capped at ₦10,000 a day. Its loan terms permit liquidation "without prior notice" and state that Busha "is not required to disclose its assessment criteria." And its retail footprint is Nigeria and Kenya, so it does not settle cedis in Ghana.
Where Breet wins
Nigeria and Ghana in one account. Payouts settle in naira or cedis, to a bank or mobile money, which means you stop needing a different platform per market.
Free multi-currency crypto invoicing. You send a client a real invoice, and the crypto converts on arrival instead of pasting a wallet address.
Fully automated settlement. Crypto converts when it lands and cash moves to your bank on its own.
Swap across 170+ assets. You move between coins inside Breet, without the cost of exiting to cash and buying back in.
No deposit-without-withdrawal state. Busha's Level 1 takes unlimited deposits but permits no withdrawals, which means Breet never traps money you have already sent.
Lighter KYC. Registration takes under a minute with no handwritten note in a selfie, which means less time between downloading the app and getting your first payout.
Crypto gifting. You can send crypto to someone who has never opened a wallet, which means no walkthrough of addresses and networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use Busha or Breet?
If you want a provisionally SEC-licensed exchange with savings, crypto-backed loans, physical cards and limit orders, use Busha. If you want crypto converted to naira or cedis automatically with no manual steps, plus crypto invoicing and Ghana coverage, use Breet. Many people reasonably use both.
Is Busha safer than Breet because it is licensed?
Busha holds a provisional SEC licence, and Breet's application is pending, so on regulatory standing, Busha is ahead today. Note that the licence is provisional rather than full, and that Busha states its savings product carries no government deposit insurance. Licensing and protection of your specific balance are not the same question.
Can I move my crypto from Busha to Breet?
Yes. Withdraw to your Breet deposit address on the same network. Busha publishes per-asset withdrawal fees so you can calculate the cost first.
Does Busha work in Ghana?
Its retail app covers Nigeria and Kenya. GHS is listed in Busha's currency reference but marked unavailable for fiat ramp buy and sell. Breet settles cedis in Ghana to bank or mobile money.
Does Breet offer savings or loans like Busha?
No. If earning yield or borrowing against holdings matters to you, Busha covers that and Breet does not.
How many coins can each convert to cash?
Breet lists 12+ coins for direct conversion on the sell page, and 170+ assets for swapping. Busha advertises 70+ assets, but its itemised documentation lists 29 codes with deposit and withdrawal available for 14.
