So, in Part 1 of Breet 3.0’s (As Told By Us) Series, Demilade from our Customer Success team shared how your feedback shaped Breet 3.0. Now, I’d like to take you behind the scenes of our product development journey.

Building a product is easy—said no one ever. And launching a product that users will forever love? That’s possible, but incredibly demanding. It’s a ride filled with unpredictable turns, last-minute changes that will break your spine, and moments that test everything you thought you knew. Let me tell you how crazy it was building Breet 3.0, but first

I’m Nnanna (you can call me Nascosoft), the product owner behind Breet, and if there’s one thing I deeply believe in, it’s that Africans deserve a share of the new possibilities that digital finance and blockchain technology bring. But belief alone isn’t enough—we had to build it. And not just anything; we had to build THE PERFECT PRODUCT THAT MAKES CRYPTO SPENDABLE FOR AFRICANS.

The Making of Breet 3.0

The demand for excellence from our users on Breet 2.0 was clear and loud. Transaction delays, limited crypto options, concerns about rates, and a need for a better overall experience made it obvious that small fixes wouldn’t do. We needed to respond in a way that mattered, so we did. Instead of patching things up, we made the bold choice to build everything from scratch on a new foundation: a new Breet.

So, we started cooking. Here are some of the recipes we threw into the mix for Breet 3.0:

Infrastructure Overhaul: We completely restructured our system to handle millions of requests per second without delays.

Third-Party Integrations: We carefully selected providers and services that offer seamless experiences.

Robust Maintenance: We implemented jittery microservices and monitoring to ensure frictionless operations. If something needs attention, the team gets a notice ASAP.

Scalability: We structured the system for robust scaling as our user base grows.

Security & Compliance: We enhanced infrastructure security with extensive penetration testing and continuous updates to stay ahead of threats. We also put airtight measures in place to protect user data and financial records.

As we approached the set time for the Breet 3.0 launch, it felt like we were on an endless rollercoaster of challenges. We knew every feature had to be airtight, every flow had to feel seamless, and every potential issue had to be hunted down before our users even had the chance to experience a glitch.

The Madness We Tackled

* Imposter syndrome: There were days I’d ask God to give me another job because of the workload I had and the stress of not knowing which task to jump on first.

* Fixing a never-ending list of bugs and ensuring automatic settlements worked seamlessly.

* Engaging in virtual fights over timelines, communication, and collaboration issues (I still remember those “listen to me, no you listen to me” moments). We faced it all.

* There were moments where a figure not being in two decimal places could mean the difference between an accurate transaction history and a total rework.

* Making sure swap transactions expired correctly, invoice statuses updated in real-time, and search functionalities were as intuitive as possible.

* We obsessed over details, from transaction histories reflecting the right values to even the smallest details, like making sure country flags on the wallet screen were perfectly positioned.

Beyond Functionality

The Product Team also understood that branding and positioning were just as important.

We envisioned a launch that would set the tone for what Breet 3.0 truly is: a next-level crypto experience. From social media templates to explainer videos that will go on our websites, to motion graphics, we carefully crafted the storytelling around our brand.

The goal? To ensure that when users interact with Breet, they’re not just using a crypto platform—they’re engaging with a brand that understands them.

'Not Every Innovation Is Priceless.'— Nnanna 2025.

And yes, I also failed so many attempts to create magic for users. But hey, not all innovations made waves like the invention of the light bulb, yes? 😅

What Could Breet Be Cooking Next?

Ahead of 3.0, we are already cooking the sauce. Here’s a sneak peek into our kitchen:

* Multicurrency Accounts: Receive USD and Euros directly with Breet.

* International Bills Payment: Pay international bills with ease.

* Stablecoin Savings: Save your stablecoins and earn great yearly interests.

* Developer API: Build your own cryptocurrency exchange with our Developer API.

Excited much? You better be! 🚀

PS: Our journey in building Breet 3.0 has been transformative, but the story isn’t over. Next, I’m handing over to the Growth Team to share how we’re expanding our impact and enhancing your Breet experience. Stick around!
