In November 2025, we conducted a P2P research at Breet, asking five people to trade on Bitget P2P and document their experiences. Here are the stories of two participants.
My Experience Trading on Bitget P2P: A Complete Review
Hi, my name is Aisha, and I participated in Breetâs P2P research using Bitget P2P marketplace. I completed three transactions during this process. Below is a summary of what I experienced while carrying them out.

Getting Started With My First Trade on Bitget P2P
When I began my first transaction, it took me some time to navigate the interface. Even with previous P2P experience, I needed a moment to locate where each step was.
The entire trade lasted about 10 minutes from start to finish.
During the trade, I was required to enter OTP codes from both my email and phone at several points. After the first two times, it repeated more than I expected.
Verification Process on Bitget P2P
Before trading, I completed BVN verification and took a selfie. This took less than 10 minutes.
Support and Dispute Guidance:
I interacted with the support bot to understand how the dispute system worked. The bot provided guidance, but once I left the chat, I couldnât return to the previous messages and had to restart the conversation.
Payment Outcome:
According to the order summary, I was expecting 21,694.5, but I received 21,690.
My Second Trade on Bitget P2P
My second trade moved more quickly. The rate available for this vendor was lower than what I saw in my first transaction. I also noticed that traders offering lower minimum amounts tended to have lower rates.
Before releasing the asset, I had to verify using Google Authenticator. The trade went through without any issues, and I received the correct amount.
The trader I matched with had a 99% rating and had completed 328 orders, which was displayed on the platform.

Working Through an Error in My Third Trade
For my third transaction, I mistakenly entered the wrong bank name.
I initially typed GTBank instead of Access Bank. I thought this might cause a problem, but the trader remained patient while I corrected it. (Screenshot below)

Before the trade began, I encountered a message saying âinsufficient ad fund,â and the order did not create. I reached out to support, but the bot responses didnât address the situation directly.
I eventually closed and reopened the app, and after that, the order creation worked normally.
Overall Observation of my Trading Experience on Bitget P2P
Across the three trades, I experienced different kinds of interactions and steps. Some transactions required additional authentication, some moved more quickly, and one required me to correct my own entry error.
The support bot offered general guidance, and the verification steps outside the trades were completed within a short timeframe.Â
My Experience Using Bitget P2P: A Review of Three Transactions (Participant 2)
Hello, My name is George and hereâs a detailed review of my trading experience using Bitget P2P.
Getting Verified on Bitget P2P
Bitget offered BVN or NIN as verification options. I used my NIN and completed a selfie check to finalize the process. The entire KYC took about 15 minutes from start to finish.
Once verified, the platform opened up fully, and I immediately noticed how clean and simple the interface looked. Everything was laid out clearly, and the P2P section was easy to navigate.
Even though the platform felt beginner-friendly, there was one issue that stood out during onboarding. I could not sign up using my email or phone number. Both options repeatedly failed.
The only sign-up method that worked was âSign up with Google.â It wasnât a dealbreaker, but it was unexpected, and it made the sign-up process more restrictive than I would have preferred.
My First Trade on Bitget P2P: Simple, but no Responses from Traders
My first P2P trade on Bitget was easy to initiate.
The layout was straightforward, and choosing a trader didnât take long. But I quickly realized that communication on the platform wasnât as smooth as I hoped.
The main issue was that traders were not responding to messages.
I tried sending a few chats to confirm payment timelines and clarify details, but I didnât get any replies. (Screenshot below)

Even though the trade itself went through, the lack of responsiveness from traders made the process feel a bit disconnected.
It wasnât a complicated transaction, but having no communication added some uncertainty along the way.

My Second Trade on Bitget P2PT: A Scam Attempt During Payment
My third trade was as smooth as my first. However, my second trade on Bitget was far more eventful. I was selling crypto and expected to receive âŠ21,782 based on the trade summary.
When the buyer marked the transaction as paid, I checked my bank app before releasing the coins, something I always make sure to do. That was when I noticed that the buyer had sent âŠ20,782, which was exactly âŠ1,000 less than the expected amount.
This wasnât a mistake. The buyer had intentionally underpaid and still marked the trade as completed. (Screenshot below)

If I had released the crypto without checking my bank balance first, I would have lost the money. I had to wait for the extra âŠ1,000, and I repeatedly asked the trader to send the correct amount.
After some delay, he finally transferred the remaining âŠ1,000, bringing the total to what it should have been.
Once the full amount arrived, I requested a receipt, and that seemed to slow things down even more.
The buyer took longer than usual to upload the correct proof of payment, which extended the entire process. In the end, I received the right amount. (Screenshot below showing the receipt of my balance)

However, the experience highlighted to me how important it is to always confirm the funds in your bank first before releasing crypto on Bitget P2P.
