When we started building our Developers API, we thought crypto would be the hard part.
You know – blockchains, wallet infrastructure, MPCโฆ. All the technical stuff everyone warns you about.
Turned out, crypto wasn’t the problem. Complexity was.
We spoke to multiple businesses and developers, and contrary to our expectations, the same thing kept coming up in different words:
- “I want to accept crypto payments, but I don’t want to deal with wallets.”
- “I don’t want to deal with crypto volatility, but my users want to top up with crypto.”
- “I don’t want to explain how blockchain works to my team.”
What they were really saying: “I don’t want this to be a hassle.”
So we shifted how we thought about building. Instead of asking “how robust can it be?” we started asking “how simple can it be?”
Because we realised most people don’t actually want to build crypto products. They just want to build products that happen to use crypto, without it being a whole thing.
Now, from the outside, it’s super simple: a Crypto Developer API that can be integrated in 30 minutes and allows your customer to send crypto, which arrives, gets converted instantly, and fiat or USD settles to your business.
However, behind the scenes, a lot is happening. But developers and businesses don’t need to know that. And that’s the whole point.
The best systems don’t over-explain or over-complicate. They don’t make you feel like you need a manual just to get started. They just work.
Simplicity isn’t lazy. It’s the result of deliberate, hard work, done right.
