Background
RaisED, founded by Great Igbokwe, is Africa's premier trust-based student funding platform. Verified students create funding applications after completing KYC/KYB checks, and donors anywhere in the world (local or international) can fund their education directly.
The Challenge
RaisED's model depends on donors being able to fund verified students directly, but international and diaspora donors had no straightforward way to get money into the platform. Local bank rails don't reach most donors abroad, and without crypto as an option, that funding gap had no fix.
